Barcamp Pleiku 2024
Barcamp is an unconference forum based on open space technology that has been widely organized in over 350 cities worldwide. In Asia alone, almost every major city has organized a Barcamp. Pleiku is the 5th city in Vietnam had taken the wave of this movement.
Based on the Barcamp spirit in Vietnam and worldwide, when bringing this event to Pleiku, we aim to create an open discussion space for local people to have an answer to the question: "What are the people of Pleiku really thinking, feeling, and doing?".
The event achieved a satisfied results:
nearly 200 people participated in;
attracted 21 hosts with 30 topics registed & 24 topics being shared;
got 9M+ VND (~$400) crowdfunding for event cost.

Pleiku Mentor in Tech
Pleiku Mentor in Tech (Pleiku MiT) is a mentoring program for Pleikuan, focusing on early career stage, mentor by Pleikuan techies with >2 years of experience.
Successfully run 2 batches had involved 19 mentors, 19 mentees to participated in, with 12 projects delivered;
Hosted 3 webinars & 1 offline networking event.

Pleiku Returnees
Pleiku Returnees (PR) is a community for Pleikuan who is coming back to Pleiku for their settlement or for their contribution to the city. The goal of PR community is to connect like-minded people in town to share and pay it forward, to help the peers and the young Pleikuan have an easier life, better career and/or business.
Founded on June 2023, the community soon became the 1st, one and only trusted source for Pleikuan to connect with their like-minded peer. The locals, the leavers and the returnees can now share their voice to each other and set every Pleikuan at the same page. In its 8 months of existance, the community has some achievement:
2,400+ member, growing organically;
Host 10+ meetups in Pleiku & Ho Chi Minh City;
Being mentioned on local newspaper (Báo Gia Lai) in both hard-print and e-magazine format.
Developed Returnees Jobs as a job board platform to match local enterprises with local talents

Van Minh Dormitory
Van Minh Dormitory (Nhà trọ Văn Minh) is a long-term rental services that operating in Danang. Founded in 2021, Van Minh Dormitory has gradually became a great choice for students in Danang to have a better living condition with a budget.
Set up the 1st building of Van Minh from scratch with 30+ keys;
Acquired tenants to fill the rooms with >80% occupancy in 1st month;
(I left after Covid-19. Now the business is growing to 18 buildings, 300+ keys around Danang.)

Baron Bar
Baron is the first bar in Pleiku.
1st & only bar in Pleiku at that time;
Bring the bar culture to Pleiku, which never appear before since the Vietnam War (1975);
Built and operated everything from the beginning to the very end of the project.
